The Responsible Plastic Management Program is delighted to congratulate John Sisk & Son on achieving their second Zero Plastic to Landfill certification. This time, the recognition has been awarded to Sisk’s head office at Citywest, following the success of their Vantage data centre project last year.
The Zero Plastic to Landfill Challenge offers a clear and structured pathway for organisations to responsibly manage their plastic waste. Certification is earned through months of evidence gathering, innovation in reducing reliance on plastics, and robust practices in segregation and recycling.
Sisk’s achievement demonstrates a commitment that goes beyond project sites — embedding responsible plastic management across both their construction operations and corporate offices. This dual approach highlights the company’s strong leadership in sustainability and circularity within the construction sector.
Aaron Marshall, Engagement Director at the RPM Program, commented:
“It is wonderful to see Sisk demonstrating leadership in circularity of plastics at all levels of the business both on project construction sites and now at their headquarters and administration offices. Achievement of Zero Plastic to Landfill Certification means reduced plastic, improved segregation and increased recycling, demonstrating true commitment to circularity in practice.”
At the RPM Program, we are proud to support organisations like Sisk who are raising the bar in plastic waste reduction and circularity. We look forward to further progression of Zero Plastic to Landfill at Sisk projects in Ireland and the UK. Their success sets an inspiring example for others across the construction industry and beyond.
Well done to everyone involved!
