Clad Pad is a magnetic, reusable cladding protection system designed to protect panels and assets from installation through to handover on data centre and pharma projects globally.
What developments have you made in your responsible plastic management journey?
Clad Pad was founded on the principle of eliminating single use plastic from construction sites. Our magnetic, reusable cladding protection system directly replaces the single use plywood and Corriboard that goes to landfill after every project. Since launching commercially in November 2024, we have expanded into 12 countries across Europe and the Middle East, preventing significant volumes of single use plastic waste on every project we are active on.
What responsible plastic management achievements have you made in 2026 so far?
Across two hyper-scale data centre projects in Finland alone, Clad Pad prevented 18 tonnes of single use plastic from going to landfill, the equivalent of 648,000 plastic bottles and 40 tonnes of CO2e on the cladding protection package. In 2026 we have continued to expand this impact across new projects in Ireland, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and the Middle East.
How has RPM Program assisted in your Journey?
Clad Pad has recently joined the Responsible Plastic Management Program, using it as a framework to further strengthen our approach to reducing single-use plastic across construction
sites. As we move forward with the programme, we see a strong opportunity to measure, track and communicate the plastic reduction impact of Clad Pad across our projects, while supporting clients with their own sustainability, ESG and plastic reduction targets.
What are your 2026 Plastic Free July goals?
For Plastic Free July 2026, Clad Pad’s goal is simple: challenge the construction industry’s reliance on single-use protection materials.
Corriboard, plywood and tape have become the default on data centre and pharma projects, but they create unnecessary waste, labour and replacement costs. We want to use Plastic Free July to show contractors, cladding installers and end clients that protecting finished panels does not have to mean filling skips with single-use plastic.
A reusable, zero-waste alternative already exists. Now the goal is to make it the new standard.
