WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO JOIN RPM PROGRAM?

Learning Pool have a keen interest in environmental issues and making our business more smart when it comes to what waste we produce. We wanted to understand fully, the use of plastics, what effect they are playing in the world and how we can effectively contribute to the reduction of plastic in our organisation.

WHAT DEVELOPMENTS HAVE YOU MADE IN YOUR RESPONSIBLE PLASTIC MANAGEMENT JOURNEY?

We have individuals trained in plastic literacy who act as champions on our business to understand how we are using plastics, how we can mitigate them coming into the business and how we can reduce our overall use of plastics.

WHAT ARE YOUR 2024 PLASTIC FREE JULY GOALS?

We have significantly reduced plastics into the business since joining RPM in 2022. We are now concentrating on SUPs and how we can further reduce these. We are also working with our waste management providers to reduce the detriment of unavoidable plastic used in the business and contribute to these being effectively diverted from landfill, rather than just shipped abroad and becoming someone else problem. RPM are providing valuable assistance in this process on both our internal educational needs and working with our waste management providers.
