Tell us in two sentences about your company’s products or services

The Construction Employers Federation (CEF) is the sole certified representative body for the construction industry in Northern Ireland. We represent approx 70% of construction in NI and around 800 businesses of all sizes employing over 30,000 staff directly and 65,000 in the wider supply chain. CEF is the Voice of the NI Industry on the UK Construction Leadership Council, BuildUK and the NI Procurement Board.

 

Why did you decide to join RPM Program?

We joined forces with RPM Program to increase awareness of, and to raise standards and best practice in, plastic management amongst local contractors.

 

At what stage are you on your plastics journey?

Construction is a major stakeholder in plastic management and this means we have potential to significantly improve our understanding and take practical steps to improve our impact on the environment.  Plastic is a vital part of the industry’s overall step-change in how we assess, manage and reduce our impact on the environment.
